Samsung Gear VR review

I have just ordered a gear VR should arrive on Wednesday.

Looking forward to my very first experience in VR, if it blows me away then I will seriously think about getting a new rig for full VR.

Will update when it arrives and my first experience with it. ;)

When you get it, some of the best things to try first are Strangers with Patrick Wilson, Titans of Space, the BluVR, Invasion, Rose, 'Inside Impact East Africa' where you're literally in front of Bill Clinton, Jurrasic Park Apatosaurus, Cirque Du Soleil's Kurios, Insurgent VR, Streetview VR.

Games: Finding VR, Temple Run, Smash Hits, Herobound Gladiators, and Dreadhalls if you like Amnesia type horror games.

Well had my gear VR for a few days now been busy so not had too much time to play with it.

First if you have a compatible phone get one its a must for the experience.
I watched Pink Floyd the wall on the dark side of the moon. :D

It was strange not seeing my body when looking down.

Games are useless without a pad as I am left handed and gear VR controls are on the right it was awful with temple run.

3d pictures and 3d movies are amazing and it will give you the feeling of what full VR is about.

Overall a great piece of kit only if you have the compatible phone already. ;)

Side note it does crash your phone a lot, I have had blank screen and unresponsive headset a few times but in general its a great experience.

Had a Gear VR for a few days now, the technology is simply amazing. I've been trying it on friends and family and the reaction has been the same from everyone - mind blown. Even though the clarity isn't there yet, it's very immersive and it just gives you an idea of whats to come.

These are my favourites so far:

Introduction to VR
Jurassic World
Smash Hit
Ocean Rift

I've just purchased Package Disabler Pro so I can now use the Cardboard VR apps. Keep the recommendations coming...

not sure if it is cheapest but I bought a DroidBOX Play Gamepad from amazon and it works very well and doesn't feel cheap at £14.99

Mine's great. It is a 5 minute wonder from a true vr perspective but I use mine for watching movies in bed if I am not ready for sleep.. I treat it the same way as I would a pair of headphones..

Th here are a couple of design issues however, the main one for me is the lack of any adjustment for IPD meaning I can't get the sweet spot bang on for both eyes. It is still perfectly use able though and the void theatre with Netflix is great when just lying there!

As for resolution.... Correct me if I'm wrong but with an s7 or edge, the resolution would appear to be greater than it will be on my rift when it lands in July!?
