Couldn't see this posted here yet:

This is nuts. 57" 7680x2160 (dual 4K) 240Hz

Also an OLED version of the existing 49" G9 by the looks of it.

Basically a dual 32” 4K OLED (31.5” if pedantic). Probably more economical w/the display panels than doing 21:9. Bet that’ll cost a wee penny. I wonder if 4K at pixel density would reduce the visible fringing from the sub pixel layout (since there’s no sign of Microsoft doing anything about supporting it).

I see there’s a 27” 5K as well for proper 200% scaling - an area still pathetically low on monitor choice.

No, they're two different screens.

The 57" dual-4K monster is an LCD. The 49" is an OLED, presumably 5120x1440.

I'm waiting for 21:9 5120x2160 and the Neo G9 gives me hope of such a monitor arriving sometime soonish.

Hhhhmmm intresting. I'll be keeping an eye on the two ultrawides.
Same here. The 49 inch oled is the one that has me really interested but it does mean that I'm going to have to upgrade my 2080 super to either a 7900xtx nitro, or a 4900 (FE possibly) to support it.

Samsung's own news piece on it:

This must be the product at the AMD conference back at the start of Nov.

I was thinking it'd be 49" in line with current Neo G9, which would have been quite attractive with the additional resolution making it a good fit for a single monitor for both productivity and leisure (for me anyway). I'd discounted this form factor and size combination as just wasn't happy with the 'limited' 1440 vertical resolution.

57" going to be wide for me personally, around 140cm by 40cm vs 120cm by 34cm for the 49" - back to the drawing boards and hoping for some nice 5120 x 2160 options in the 38" range.

looking forward to see the reviews, quite like the idea of the 57 inch screen.

Can't even use an Nvidia GPU to power the bloody G9

The previous standard, DisplayPort 1.4a, only supports up to 25.92Gbps, so you need DisplayPort 2.1 to drive the Odyssey Neo G9 (2023) at its full resolution and refresh rate. The problem is that only AMD and Intel actually support DisplayPort 2.1 right now.

Nvidia’s latest GPUs top out at DisplayPort 1.4a. They’ll work with the Odyssey Neo G9 due to DisplayPort’s backward compatibility, but not at the full resolution or refresh rate. Worse, Nvidia’s GPUs are the only ones powerful enough to drive the resolution and refresh rate of the Odyssey Neo G9; they’re just hampered by the connection standard.

HDMI 2.1? Gives double the bandwidth of DP 1.4a

We haven’t been told what other ports the monitor will support, but we can expect it to feature HDMI 2.1 ports – though with only AMD’s latest Radeon GPUs coming with HDMI 2.1 ports right now, it isn’t a particularly useful feature at this time.

No ones got any dimensions of the 57 mega monster!
