Why don't you guys make them cheaper then I might buy one.

It so happens I need one this coming week.

Worth checking if you brought one recently.

I brought 2 500GB 840's on the 22nd March 2013 and have been able to apply for £40 cash back per drive. The website says purchases from 20th March 2013 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-163-SA

Very good drives too, they are the basics so write speed is a little low but I have them in Raid 0 which means i'm getting 1000mb/s + read and 660mb/s write, which is quite acceptable. So that's 1TB of SSD for £452 once the cash back comes through :)

Result :)

NAND is going up and as we sell far more than most it means we sell the cheaper stocks quicker and as such move on the the more expensive stock.

If you want one cheaper then your best bet is to find someone who has stock and is part of the promotion.

cant argue with that, the 500gig 840 is on offer this week and with 50 quid cashback+if you use topcashback then its a 500gig ssd for less than £200

Not quite true... the 850 500GB Basic is £266 less £40 cach back (not £50 thats for the Pro) so £226 for a 500GB SSD which is still cracking.

That might be true, but if you look around I can find a Samsung 512gb 840 pro series near £100 cheaper. (found 2 places that have them for £356) yours are £449 I believe.

you can find it a good £10 lower than that again .. although i dont know the company

Does the cash-back option still apply to system build orders where the Samsung SSD has been chosen as a primary/secondary drive?

Don't see why it won't

You'll have the serial number of qualifying drive, Bought within the specified dates, Invoice etc.
