can we have the tl:dr version for those of us who refuse to put up with ads?

Orwellian spy state where they put CCTV in people's homes under the guise of protecting them from terror (lmfao) is coming true.

Step 1: Instillation of fear.
Step 2: False sense of security.
Step 3: ???
Step 4: Profit.

You've got to give them credit finding all these exploits. Shame they're done for spying purposes rather than informing the companies.

lucky for them the article states that they captured audio and not video. otherwise they would have had numerous videos of my knocking one out to babestation. fair play to anyone game enough to view that

Yorkshire and proud of it!
The fact that the KS7000 had a built in mic was one of the key reasons I decided not to buy a 4K tv earlier this year for my partner's birthday. I simply didn't like the idea of that in my home. The lack of ability to really control or upgrade the software in the TV was one of the other key factors, as well. Whilst in theory you can simply never connect it up, in practice it keeps nagging you to do so and several features don't really work right unless you agree and enter your details to the TV.
