Under the hot sun.
Good morning,

I have the Sandisk 960GB (not 1Tb was typing fast) drive for almost a year now. Up to yesteday no issue what so ever.

This morning the BIOS cannot find it at all. Reset the cmos, changed cables, SATA 3 sockets. Nothing.

I cannot test it to another system until monday, however I bet is a gonner?
Is there any way to whipe out the drive before I send it back for RMA since is still in warranty?

That's unfortunate! Which Sandisk SSD was it just out of curiosity?

Have you tried different power cables as well? Plugged into a different port on the PSU? (i'm assuming this is in a desktop system with a modular power supply).

Checking with another system is probably the best way to confirm if it's dead. Hope you had a backup!

Is there a sandisk ssd utility you can download to check? Have you updated mobo bios etc to latest version?

Had this too in the past, have a look in the system event log for errors that might show failure.

Good Luck
