SanDisk use fake CE marking?

Maybe Im being an idiot but Im finding it tricky to see the difference between real and fake.

The way I look at it is if you draw an imaginary line (same width) down between the top and bottom right hand edges of the "C" you don't hit the curve of the "E" with real ones, but you do with fake ones.

Ok now its been explained to me Im checking everything!

So far the only thing that has failed is my MS keyboard.

Zalman mouse; logitech speakers; 3com, Agere and Linksys network cards all look good!

Thanks for explaining guys!

My Nikon D40x has the real one, but my Xbox 360 controller has a fake one!

I think manufacturers use the fake one to make unwitting people think it's actually built to CE standards, when it legally just means Chinese Export.

Shocking to see even big companies trying to mislead people!

I have a fake one on my bog standard Microsoft mouse. Though the whole indented area where the logos etc go is full, including the wee microsoft holographic thing

Why? This confuses me. My mouse has a real one, but sitting here I can't find anything else with one.

I'll check my laptop's bottom hold on...

All seven of my SanDisk products apparently have a fake CE. Which suggests to me that SanDisk print the CE without a space.

Not sure you can call one "fake" - it just has a different meaning.

Anyway, just had a look around here - Sony, Canon - with space. Microsoft, SanDisk - without. Take that as you see it.
