SAPPHIRE RX 480 NITRO NOW AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER AT OVERCLOCKERS UK (WORLD FIRST) !!!

He's talking about payment methods not the store itself. Not sure if that makes a difference or not.

I have seen people talk about paying that way before and not warned.

It would be odd if OcUK offered Amazon Payments as a payment option (they do), but you weren't allowed to talk about Amazon Payments on the forums. First rule of Payment Club, maybe..

Quick question, what makes this card so much more desirable than other 480s on sale in the shop?

For me it fits my case better than the triple fan variations, It's pre-overclocked and has a cooler that hopefully can keep it cool without being as loud as the stock cooler.

I saw Gibbos comments today and pulled the trigger on a 480 nitro. Am slightly regretting not getting a 1060 and may still upgrade!

Good point, space is an issue for me too.

Might hold out until these have bedded in OK and then take the plunge.

Keep holding out for the Nitro+ OC. I got mine yesterday and it's a good solid card. I already have plans for a second and a custom loop to get those temps down. (Running near 80 arm)

Why not just buy a 1070, save some money (~£100), and guarantee yourself the performance of a single card? Reviews I've seen of these in crossfire, in the best case scenario, place them just below 1070 performance. In many games they are not scaling to "best case".

Some Powercolor Devils just went up and sold out again on a US retailer's site. I don't see how this keeps happening if they are all supposedly being stockpiled in Hong Kong. I guess in 2-3 days the pictures will show up on r/AMD and we can see if they were really being held to turn the logos around...

Crossfire is so poor I honestly wouldn't both (coming from someone who has just dumped crossfire - it's great to have moved back to a single card).

Had mine installed for a little over a week now.

At 1080p I've yet to play anything that dipped below 60fps except weirdly during loading screens. At 100% utilisation the clocks haven't moved from 1342Mhz and the temp hasn't gone over 78 degrees in a full size ATX, even with pretty poor airflow. Fan has been pretty quiet too.

Mightily impressed so far and I've not even had a need to play around with the the clocks yet. If you're after a 480 I think you could do a whole lot worse than wait for one of these. :)

Well the 470 Devils have the logo the same way & the same design on the backplate & they had plenty of time between 480 launch & 470 launch so I'm guessing not!

My FPS drops during load screens as well on a different card, I think that might be normal.

Have ordered the 4GB version after reading some reviews that show very little difference when gaming @ 1080 and @1444. Here's hoping for next week as per Gibbo's post.....
