The Sapphire RX 480 Nitro is the worlds first custom RX 480 to be listed and Overclockers UK is the first reseller in the world to list this amazing card for pre-order. Featuring Sapphire's Nitro black dress approach with great looks that remain subtle meaniing this card will look great in any case. The card is designed to run cooler, quieter and have improved overclocking ability due to improved power phase and 1x 8-pin connector. Also featuring Diamond Chokes to help reduce and eliminate coil whine. The Sapphire Nitro is not only the first custom RX 480 on the market and Overclockers UK is the first to list this amazing product world wide with 2000 units due to arrive middle to end July. We at OcUK believe the Nitro RX 480 will be our best selling RX 480 simply because it improves every aspect of the RX 480 by being faster, quieter, cooler, better looking, more features and even better the price premium for all these extras is very minimal, making the Sapphire RX 480 Nitro absolute incredible value for money.

This means the RX 480 is a superb card for those who are still gaming on cards a few generations old as this card offers a vast leap in performance whilst not requiring a power supply upgrade. Also jam packed with features such as full DX12 readyness, VR Ready and the latest GCN architecture this amazingly powerful, quiet and low power card will only get more and more powerful as AMD release further driver updates, meaning this card is a great upgrade that will last years to come. OcUK now stocks several monitors that support Freesync from as little as around £100, which when combined with the RX-480 give the most fluid gaming experience with no stuttering or tearing, just silky smooth graphics.

Absolutely ideal for 720P and 1080P gaming on all the latest titles with maximum visual settings such as Doom, Unreal Tournamount, Hellblade, Fifa 17, Mafia III, Watch Dogs 2, TitanFall 2, Battlefield 1, Dishonored 2, Halo Wars 2 and Ghost Recon. The RX-480 can even manage gaming comfortably at 1440P (2560x1440) which demonstrates truly how powerful this card is, yet it features such a low price point and is a great upgrade for pretty much any PC with a 350W or greater ATX power supply. This is a totally awesome card in every aspect, we have 2000 incoming for delivery middle too end of July and we expect them to sell out! :)

Any idea what the full length of the card is yet? Hoping it'll fit in my corsair 230t?

... beat me to it :D

Nope most people at Sapphire do not know about the card, I am authorised to list it by the CEO of Sapphire, hence why we have all the images, check the product on the website to see all images. :)

We shall get more information and hopefully clock speeds next week, we are expecting core clock around 1350MHz boost levels. :)

@Gibbo - Will there be any 4gb AIB cards? Any idea when? I don't really need 8GB for 1080/1200p and the price difference seems so big. £200-210 for custom 4gb would have been so much better value.

Yes looking around end of July / August time for AIB 4GB's. :)

one of the best looking cards ive seen, im not even joking
i guess its to my simple tastes :)

Nope it is, I have a favourite saying "less is more"

Sapphired nailed it, looks classy yet great without being OTT and in your face. The RGB logo is a real nice touch, especially as you can turn it off. :)

I'm very tempted but will wait to see what the OC potential is for the card and what other AIB's bring. Any chance of an early review?

Will see what I can do, but I have said it before I am very sceptical on improved power and phase doing much for OC, but I do know the reference cards were a little handicapped on OC potential.

I think the realistic targets are circa 1400MHz core, I do not forsee any cards getting close to 1500 let alone 1600 on air or even water. But I would like to be proven wrong of course, but I think 1400MHz area is more realistic on AIB cards once overclocked. :)

How many orders have you gotten so far gibbo?

Planning on getting one ordered tomorrow :) sexy card, especially that backplate

No idea, its weekend. :)

Will check tomorrow in work but launching this card first in the world has had a lot of sites pointing at OcUK.

Clocks listed as TBA yet people are buying them? I'd want to know what it is before parting with the cash myself.

People really do not care so much about clock speeds to be honest.

If it is 1325MHz or 1375MHz the performance difference no one would notice, only a benchmark.

People want the cards for the good looks, less noise, cooler running, RGB etc.

...so, they admit it's a problem, they know how to fix it, but they choose not to for the mass market and people just have to roll the dice? :(

(Not a dig at you Gibbo. I'm just lamenting the days when manufacturing corners weren't cut to the point of making for a worse user experience.)

They know how to reduce it, but coil whine is inherent in this type of stuff, there is no exact cure, but steps can be taken to try and reduce/eliminate it.

But so many factors can cause it and sometimes its not the VGA cards, motherboards and power supplies can whine too.

Hows RX 480 sales going? with the nonsense power-gate carry on and all.

They are selling very well even at the newer higher prices, because demand is still outweighing supply. :)

End of month supply should be better, prices should be back to £229 for reference cards and August 4GB AIB's should re-appear at hopefully sub £200.

We see RX 480 remaining a strong contender for reminder of the year, its a solid product.

Oooh yeah Pics? havent seen this announced anywhere, we have seen XFX DD, MSI Gaming, Sapphire Nitro, Asus Strix and Powercolor Devil.

Edited to add Asus Strix ;)

Check our webship, pictures are on there.

I am only putting brands live who ship me stock. To prevent any disasters like we have had with 1080 where stock has taken too long to ship aka Asus Strix.....
