Sara Cox

I have my radios set to Radio 2. I refuse to wake up to anyone except Terry Wogan's voice lilting over the airwaves.

That's Jo "Here's a band I discovered and played 1st before everyone had even heard of them so I am in some way responsible for their success" Whiley :D

it's easy to see why she doesn't use her middle names. they don't really roll off the tongue

ugh she does my head in....why she thinks anyone is interested in what goes on in her life as she drones on telling inane stories about her and ppl she knows...ugh

continued....

i always remember her going "heeeeyyy laydeee"

abysmal (just like my spelling, probably)

Good lord I thought I was the only person under the age of 52 who listens to Radio 2 :o

Radio 1 is terrible, they play rubbish music and the DJs are not funny. Chris Moyles especially. :D

I dont mind listening to her when she was on, ok i didnt find her funny but most of the time she played good songs. I dont like her for her un comical genius side but the fact she can play a good sequence of tunes.

whoever said Radio 1 DJ's are rubbish, then you sir have no sense of humor, Chris moyles is really funny in the morning and scot mill's pranks are pretty funny in the evening.

I cant have something against someone just because they have a horrid laugh, because i tend to make fun of it ;)

I dont like to say it but I do dislike Cox... Its mainly when she goes on about her family - as if we care? I remember once she was ranting on about how her kid didnt get her own way on the bus and was screaming and crying (annoying the hell out of every other passenger, spoilt little brat...). I do however listen to Scott Mills everynight who I genuinely believe is a pretty funny guy - he is quite far up his own arse though

Zane Lowe is pretty funny too though, although I only like some of the music he plays

I used to really hate the old Sara Cox shows but recently her stand in stuff isn't so bad. And the fact that she has been replacing Jo 'I so wish I was a popular as John Peel' Whiley is a bonus!

small edit and its perfect.
i am glad i can get kiss on my phone when whiley is on. kisstory for the win!

Overall though I quite enjoy listening to Radio 1. I tend to have it on going to/from work on the train as well as during the day when I am working.

Chris Moyles and Scott Mills are entertaining (I genuinely believe that Chris Moyles success is mostly down to comedy Dave) and perhaps the best part of Radio 1. Some of the dance slots (Judge Jules and Pete Tonge) are pretty good too.

mills's show just seems so scripted. mills says something, chopper acts as though he has never heard it before.

Thankfully, since Radio 1 binned her regular slot, it's been fairly easy to avoid the talentless loudmouth that is Sara Cox, her appearances being strictly limited to covering for other DJ's, and thus easy avoidable by swapping to Radio 2.

100% agree with you, when she was in for scott m, a month or so back for 2 weeks i nearly re-tuned and listened to craptol. Luckily i found a cd i didnt mind listening to on repeat 100 times a lot more enjoyable. :D

I'm not that fond of Sarah Cox really, she goes on about being a mum far too much. She also seems to turn a relatively mundane daily occurrence into a big talking point.

I stopped listening to radio 1 after Mark and Lard left :(, i used to listen to it every day when it was Mark and Lard then moyles in the afternoon.

But anything and i mean ANYTHING is better than radio 2 or more to the point Terry Wogan. How can anyone listen to that guy rambling on with that annoying voice?.

(I genuinely believe that Chris Moyles success is mostly down to comedy Dave)

Yeah Chris usually dies on his ass when he is by himself on TV, but coupled with Dave and i cant stop laughing.
