Tom Tom rider is a decent Sat Nav for any bikers, can it be used in a car too?

If you car has handlebars![]()
- Route directions on the motorway and A/B roads etc are spoken giving the name of that part of road, eg: the lady will say “Please take the 1st exit at the roundabout onto the M27””
I prefer looking at the map as well as using the voice directions just so I can make sure I'm not mis-hearing something amidst traffic noise, music noise or people talking to me in the car!You could have added Text to Speech.
The Q4 map update is out in late October for Navigon. The Navigon is great if you don't have to put the unit on your dash too far away because the text is quite small so on a complex route you will find yourself bending over to read local road names or exit numbers as I found in my car!I had noticed the Garmin 255WT for £150 that offers Europe maps and traffic... however, I am asking myself whether I need these features... I have only journeyed over to Europe once in recent times and 95% of my driving is local, so would it be money spent unnecessarily. As this is my first GPS, I'm conscious of making a good choice... so rght now, I have a 2100 Max sitting on my desk still in its unopened box while I decide whether to keep it, and if do, then I'll wait until I actually need it with the hope that I will get 4Q08 maps before my 30 days expires.
Does it do this out of the box or does it require the text-to-speech add-on?
