Is there any way possible of my transfering my data from my desktop's SATA drive to another one somehow?

My Sata HDD was in my PC which i dont use anymore i sold all the parts apart from my Harddrive, im now using a netbook.

I dont think its possible at all, unless i build up a new PC and use my old sata drive??

if by netbook you mean a laptop, then you need to buy an external hard drive enclosure and put your hard drive in to that,

I'm shocked theres something like this around! i had no idea!!

So i just take my Sata Hard drive from my old PC ( im think its just a standard Sata Drive (160Gb)

Plug it into that Enclosure, then its all good to go?

how does it plug and connect up correctly? cause i think my Hard drive has 2 connection things, 1 Sata plug and one which the power supply, are they inside that Enclosure?

How does the Drive connect up to the Enclosure, i cant understand how it works!

I just plug in my Old Sata Hard drive, then on Windows will it just show me all the contents?

Does it turn into an external Harddrive now once its in the Enclosure?
It will show up in My Computer as a new seperate drive?

Unscrew the enclosure, connect the power and data cables therein to the drive, screw it back up again. Plug the USB cable into the PC and enclosure, connect the mains brick to the enclosure. Power on and voila!

Which one is the best one to get? the annoying this is i have just got myself a 500GB External HDD, but i guess an extra 160 cant be bad!

Im 99% sure mine is a 3.5 size
