SATA II drive on SATA MOBO

Hi there I am just about to order up a Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320GB ST3320620AS SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM (HD-078-SE) and wanted to check something first?

I have a ASUS P4C800 Deluxe which is a SATA motherboard. Can anyone tell me if this drive will work as it is SATA II??

I have a Hitachi Deskstar T7K250 NCQ 250GB SATA-II 8MB Cache installed on the ICH5R cont. on an Asus P4C800 motherboard, work exceptionally well. Obviously the SATA II is not enable on the HDD.

You'll be fine!

I got a Western Digital Caviar SATA II 250GB 16mb Hard Drive a few months back and all I needed to do was short the 3rd and 4th jumper pins to make it an SATA drive.

When I get an SATA II motherboard, I can unshort the jumper pins and get full SATA II functionality
