SATA problem

Hi

I'm trying to install a second SATA drive, the Samsung SP2504C 250GB Sata-II, and Windows XP isn't recognising it. It's recognised on bootup, in BIOS and in device manager, but not in 'My Computer'.

I've tried changing the jumper setting to restrict it to 1.5gb/s but that hasn't helped.

The motherboard is a MSI K8T Neo-FIS2R, with Windows XP runnning on a Samsung SpinPoint P SP1614C 160GB drive.

Any ideas on how to get the second drive working?

Have u set jumper on hdd to disable sata II. Dont think your mb is sata II

Maybe it needs to be partitioned & formated? :rolleyes:

Right-click My Computer & select 'Manage' then 'Disk Management'
