They're mutually exclusive. Either the diffuser is tuned to create as much downforce as possible, or you'd tune it to give out extremely turbulent air, which would make the car slow.Well it would be a byproduct of the diffuser, obviously it would still have to do its normal job as well.
Not really. Since the V8s came in the sidepods have got gradually smaller, whether this is to do with the fact they need less cooling, better performing radiators, or the designers allowed a greater tolerance for them in the beginning, I don't know.Wont the engines really hot now though?
