Save my fish!

well i said to introduce the medicine with the salts slowly and so i did. not got s filter as the tank is really not big enuf to accomodate the fish, plant, pump and filter.

anyway things aren looking good. the orange one (which i will add has been the livliest all day) is now on its side floating round the top. its still breathing. red cap is still sat at the bottom.

to be honest i dont hold much hope now.

You said it was 45x25cm

Big enough for something like a Fluval 2 internal filter which you can pick up for around a tenner.

If the tank is that crowded that you can't fit a little Fluval 2 in then it's not fit to keep the fish in.

But like I said, they're going to die of one disease or another now by the sounds of the care and conditions they've been kept in.

Not good news.

You will more than likely lose these 2

but

You are now more clued up and have a better chance the next time.

What pump do you have ?

Get rid of the plant for now.

The smaller the tank the more problems you get.

If your wanting to try again let me know and I can go
through the best way to set everything up.

yeh i'll get more eventually. ive got a tank, pump full pot of food and just spent stupid money on stuff they need

i feel angry. been bending over backwards to try and help them.

im shocked, the one thats died is the one thats been the most active out of the two.

well ** heartlessness is just lovely.

yes one died bout an hour ago

the other doesnt look far off but we'll see

any update dude?
maybe best if they both die and you can start again, I know you can be attached to them but I think it may be for the best as then you'll be able to start with a clean tank etc and be better equiped to keep them alive!

haha yeh i know. i spent so much money on them yesterday and one went and died. just got up now and been to look and the redcap has fin rot. luckily i bought the stuff for that too so we'll see if that helps at all. if not. i'll start again after my holiday. and if those ones die on me i'll know im cursed.

Mind and post before doing anything.

I will try and give you the best method for setting the tank up and getting
the water perfect for them...no promises on survival rate as they are funny
that way.

Have a nice holiday.
