I’m new to all this, but they are entirely independent, so just do your own thing.. if you can do both, do both..There's an Axel VPP event at 18:00 - 19:00 and then this from 19:00 - 20:00 so Im out of this one. I could just about manage the battery for both, but Im unsure how doing consecutive hours with different companies would go down.
Just to add a bit more info.Technically, you can’t do both.
Technically IOG is a kind of DFS service and your MPAN is being bid into the system for this tariff and ofgem only allow your MPAN to be used once.
However, that doesn’t mean you’ll get kicked off the tariff and other people have had some success. That doesn’t mean they won’t crack down at some point in the future as they have done with IOG abusers.
I did see that but works out better from some "predbat" simulations to be on agile export. Pays up to 25p/kWh during peak timesYes but you are better off on EDF's equivilent tariff.
Octopus don't seem to really care. Just make sure you don't double book for a session, that's a no-no.Hey all
I've just signed up for Axle VPP as finally received an export MPAN (Octopus Go import as don't have a smart charger / car), and agile export
I've been reading on this thread that IOG and axle VPP aren't allowed. Am I allowed to be on regular octopus go with VPP?
Does anyone know, you need to do 2 savings sessions in a week to get your free hour on the weekend.
So is there any point in doing more than 2? Or if you do say 4 in one week, you can then have 2 hours, or otherwise banked?
You can do both, you can use 1 or 2 tokens per week, and save them up to use later (last event is 1st Nov)
