Saving Sessions / Demand reduction thread

This will be my first session since I went up to a 12kW inverter and 27kWh of battery. Should have enough margin to export at the full 9.68kW and have enough left for cooking dinner.
 
Exported about 9.3kWh in the hour. Just hit 35% SOC right at the end. The battery was discharging at 13.1kW at one point.

Despite maxing out the export limit of 9.68kW for the first time, the grid voltage didn't go above 242v, so there must be some serious margin on the local transformer.
 
I didn't do very well either, about 3kWh exported, set it up poorly as well, should have just set a target of 45% by 18:30 rather than a kW target, also cooking and the heat pump did a hot water run.

Oh well, it was only pennies.

Me too.

But by chance, yesterday was nice and sunny, meaning at 5:30 pm my battery was at 90%. I would have discharged at some point during the evening, so it might as well be during this saving session for the extra 12p per kWh.

This.

It’s not worth dipping into grid electricity at 12p/kwh. However, if I’m exporting anyway, I may as well do it at a time I get paid an extra 12p/kWh for it.

It seems Octopus bid 18p today and was rejected. I don't think we'll be seeing much above 12p/kWh on these sessions.

Mind you, the wholesale electricity price has been around 10-11p/kWh all week regardless.
