That's such a great pet!:D I'd love one but I'm away so often I wouldn't be able to take care of it properly.
Used to have a hedgehog as a kid. The knocked down the house behind ours and quite a few hedgehogs living in its garden moved over to ours. We found one scared, hungry and cornered by one of our cats so we adopted him and kept him in a shoebox for awhile, feeding him lettuce. He kept trying to escape though, and the cats wouldn't leave him alone, so we set him free in the yard of another empty house nearby. :(

They're really easy to look after. All you need is a Guinea Pig cage, wheel, hide and a water bowl. That's it! Feed him mealworms, insect mix, few cat biscuits, bit of egg and a few veggies now and then and he'll be happy. :) They really don't take much looking after tbh.

As for feeding one lettuce, they don't really eat much veg. They like insects, worms and slugs - creepy crawly stuff. :)
