2600k has 5 ghz per core and 4 cores
20ghz

980X has 4ghz per core and 6 cores
24ghz

The only people I could see wanting a SB-E system is if they want a ton of super fast SSDs since I believe X79 has 6 Intel 6gb/s ports.

2 AMD 7xxx cards running in dual 16x crossfire would be nice though

16x PCIe gives little to no improvement over 8x PCIe, where's Intel 6gb/s ports are massively better than anything else on motherboards.

so Intel's Pricing of $555 = £350 for the 3930
