Scared of moving up

If I could give any advice to you, stick with this forum if you are in to IT, a lot of the stuff I learnt was from these forums. What do you want to be when you leave school?

If I could, it would be to get off the forums have fun and don't do IT when you leave school.

I miss high school. It was such a doss. Even compared to A levels which feel like a doss until you realise your future depends partially on them.

Am I just very paranoid

IDK what I want to do. Apparently I am very smart so there are lots of possibilities.

My advice? Pick a god damned sig. I never know that it's you.

Also, steve, SATs? Where have you been the past few years? Damn my teachers making me do them the year before they were scrapped

You sound like quite a mature lad to me.

Just work harder each year and you'll be fine. So what do you want to do in life. Something to do with computers?

It's only year 7's that get bogwashed :p

However, I agree with others. You really should be in bed.

I don't want to go to bed family guy is on.

You're going to get 10 times more homework and will be picked on by the year 7s.

You are doomed.

You should be in bed!

Every year of your education, right up through uni and beyond, you worry if the next year will be harder, perhaps too hard, but when you get there you just realise everyone else is in the same boat and though the work may be getting harder, you're getting better in equal measure and you're ready for it.

Look at it this way - it's not like every year you have to work harder and be cleverer to do well - it's more like every year the work has to get harder just to keep up with your natural improvement. If you keep on top of things, every year will feel no more challenging relative to your ability than the last.

At least that's my experience. With the gift of hindsight.

Lots of hindsight :(

Anuraj you'll be fine the only difference will be the subjects you've taken will get a varied bump in difficulty, but that'll be progressive not instant.

Year 8 is like the missing year, year 7 your new, I was in year 9 last year and started my exams (get the results 25th D:) so yeah year 8 is where nothing happens. Its fine.

I wish I could go back to year 8.

A stunning moment in your life. You are old enough to start concentrating in what you are really into. You're young enough to study and work on a chosen career path.

You can be anything you want to be.

At 31, my opportunity sadly may have passed.

Look forward to it.
