have been diagnosed with this recently, its troublesome and struggle quite a bit with being normal; dunno how you all deal with it but mostly can cope with changing situations but it gets a bit weird sometimes.
@Xelene have you been prescribed meds? If so do you take them? I'm diagnosed schizophrenic and find it relatively easy to live with when taking suitable meds. Off meds it's a nightmare. I appreciate meds don't work for everyone. Btw there's a big mental health on here somewhere.
Anti-depressants are of no use for treating schizophrenia. If your psychiatrist deems it necessary, anti-psychotics are prescribed to treat schizophrenia.
Make regular appointments to discuss, thats the biggest danger that you arent in contact enough to maintain a regular regime in your treatment etc. Worst they can say is we dont need to see you till next week, at least you have checked in so they can assess your situation and anything you need etc.

i started to go very ill when i got this job in a warehouse and it was long stressful hours and i did not like the people working there.
i started smoking and drinking a lot and ended up in a bad way with most of the symptoms of this and was given pills by my Dr.
when i quit everything i was doing and left there my mental health improved massively.
I've known a couple of people who were misdiagnosed as being schizophrenic, the reality of it was that they were just incredibly stressed and anxious. Not saying it is the case here, but that only came to light after talking therapies and a few lifestyle changes.
The best thing you can do is call and ask for some advice or go to an alternative practice and ask for some help there.
I was lost in the system with medication once and the reality was I shouldn't have been taking it for that long, somebody retired and simply forgot about me, handover not done was the explanation, so it's why regular checkups etc. are very much worthwhile.
I can only emphasise what DHR has said about going to a different practice, getting additional therapy (such as CBT) can be quite helpful as you will have regular contact with someone who you will be able to talk things through with.
