tbh if Fergi dont get snider in the summer I think he going to be very very annoyed. Snider is one of fergi targets has been for a long time and united need a strong midfielder who can actually create goals in the center.
 
Is it out of the question to get Modric? Have Chelsea got a deal sewn up, or can Tottenham keep him?

I'm not sure about Sneider tbh, I think I would prefer Modric.

Wes wants too much money and Rooney likes to be the highest paid player in the team for some reason.

Scholes will be a bit part player like Giggs this season. Kinda lame having both Giggs and Scholes on the bench when it could be filled with young talent. Thats if that happens. He could just rotate them.

I think there are more options out there. Wes isn't the only creative midfielder in the world. Someone like Hamsik would do fine.
 
Sneijder is long dead in the water now. He wont be signed now.

We've moved onto Lampard now haven't you heard :p

The problem with Sneijder is his age counting against him. He'll be 28 by the time we sign him (in the summer, unless we get him in January; very unlikely) and the Glazers have a policy of no new signings over 27 or 28 I think as this limits the club's chances of selling player on later for cash.

Modric is younger, already plays in PL and so knows the league which means any doubts Fergie has about Modric's ability to settle in at Utd would be lessened by the fact that Modric has proved himself in the PL and wouldn't need to acclimatise to a new league like Sneijder would.

Having Scholes back is all very romantic and so on but I think we need a world class midfielder all the same. I don't think Fergie will buy in January unless one of his targets suddenly comes on the market for a price Fergie thinks is fair. Any new world class midfielder signing is surely going to be a summer affair.

About the only transfer rumour more ridiculous than Fergie preparing to sell Rooney in January really. :D
 
There are plenty of players out there, just look at all the ones we've been linked with. Whether they're interested (or us for that matter) is impossible to tell really.
