each to their own I find blade runner boring dune was out in 84 so of course young generation now wont find it good I suppose.

Blade Runner was out in 1982 though, I don't totally buy the explanation that how old people are affects their choices, it can do as you often feel affection towards films that you watched when you were young but if it's a good film then it's a good film. Casablanca and 12 Angry Men to name but two, I wasn't even a twinkle in my fathers eye when they were released, heck he was barely out of nappies himself when the second of the two was released but I still think they are two of the finest films ever made.
Well it's subjective of course and age does matter imo, a lot of films I found boring when I was younger I can appreciate now.
I found films like the godfather, 2001 a space odyssey incredibly dull when I was a teen but find them amazing now.
Some people don't or cant appreciate the art or direction or script or just the beauty of whats on the screen and just want action.
