scirroco gt :)

No one will agree with me but I think it jus looks like a flattend golf hehe but erm at 27k would you not want a TT or 370z?

But x6 Tegs instead :D

The scirroco looks great, but that just seems to be it. Saw one about 10mins ago in white with what looked like 19s and slammed to the floor. Pointless but Hot !

I swapped a 1.7 Puma for a 2.0 GT Scirocco :)
Brilliant car.
I don't think I'll get tired of the 2nd and 3rd gear welly and I love the versatility of DSG. I can live with the small rear window and the boot is big enough. The doors are a bit enormous but apart from that I can't fault it.

Just changed from a Scirocco GT to a Scirocco Type R.
Absolutely phenomenally good guys, went from the manual GT 2.0. to the DSG Scirocco R.

It is absolutely ridiculous on the fuel, it reports being able to do 29MPG for urban use in the manual, on board computer is telling me 17-20MPG at present (ok i'm not driving it the most economical way) but by my calculations it's more like below 14.
Handing, acceleration, speed an raw power seems so much more than the GT.

I like the Scirocco but couldn't bring myself to spend that kind of money on one, or any other small hatchback, not when things like this could be had for similar money...

Just hate the look of the BMW series, they look boring like every other car and there are so many on the road. Test drove a new 3 series, considered it at one point, very happy I chose the scirocco.

I love the look of the New Scirocco & used to have a Y plate GTX back in the day, I can even remember the plate of the car which is unbelievable for me.
I'd say the only thing wrong with the New Scirocco is the Focus RS. :p

Interesting. I test drove a Scirocco 2ltr turbo last year. Was pretty good for a fwd hatch. Problem was that I couldn't think of a single thing (apart from fuel economy) that I felt the Scirocco was better than my 330i. Being fair, the Scirocco is 30% cheaper on new prices, but I guess it's important to add some context.

Edit: just for ref, I owned two mk2 Sciroccos when I was younger, second one being an 83' GTi.

Its better looking.

Then that's why it's the best car in the world :p ;)

Them scirroco's do look nice though, and im not a euro box fan either.

That's a matter of opinion.
The front end is ace, from the rear looks like a Z3m (good thing IMO), but from the rear quarters, looks like a mid-90s Civic.
Luckily for the Scirocco, it doesn't actually face much opposition as there's hardly any similarly priced coupes around. I guess the closest would be the Brera, and even that's a good deal more expensive (even before breakdowns). Having said that, the Brera look awesome, and the Scirocco...doesn't.

The new scirroco is a nice looking car but if I had that sort of money i would probably get something else.

Just because it costs the same to buy, doesn't mean you can afford an M5 when looking at a Diesel Scirroco. Running costs will be many times that of the VW and that's assuming nothing went wrong  . They're not even in the same league.

The Puma is renowned for being a fantastic handling small hatch, if you'd rather drive your Mother's Tigra then that's your problem ;)

I think the Volvo C30 would count as a competitor?
