Scratched a bit of the black paint on 5d3

My camera bag INTERIOR scuffed the head of my 5D3, I was mortified until I took the next photo with the 50 1.4 and all was forgotten.

So yeah, forget about it and enjoy the high ISO ass kicking ;)

Today, was recording a review of the carbon fibre tripod when suddenly...

Thankfully, the only damage was to my soul!

And this is why you slide out QR plates, not lift out!

It was locked down, I unscrewed it to take it off and put it on the other tripod without noticing how front heavy it was ¬_¬

I swear i can see the camera still attached to the plate in the video.

Yes the quick release plate is attached to the camera, I unscrewed the ball head base plate to release the camera from the ball head. I take it you don't have a tripod with a ball head hence the confusion? :p

Oh it's perfectly safe if you lock the qr plate on the ball head base, it won't move at all, it's as tough as any decent ball head from any brand out there. I just goofed up when unclamping the base from the qr plate with one hand. You're supposed to unclamp then slide the plate left or right to take it off the base, I unscrewed the clamp more so you could effectively use it as a latch based quick release but this only works with two hands or if the bulk of the weight is in the centre of the body (50mm lens, for example).

I don't lol

I have a P&T only. Thinking about a ball head though, Arca Swiss may be. I am not sure.
