Enjoyed it more than 5, prefer Sam over Sidney, far better protagonist. Gail looking more like skeletor with each movie. As someone else said, didn't suffer without Sidney although I did miss Dewey
Clocked it was the cop and daughter early on, didn't realise there was a 3rd killer though - also as soon as Quinn mentioned moving to the city after brother died, motive was clear as day
Kills felt a bit more brutal this time, relishing the sadistic nature of a knife quite a few times.
Nooooo he's dead lmao. A tv fell on his head and he was electrocuted.I enjoyed Scream 6 but I cant help but feel they missed out on a big opportunity. With all the masks pointing to the past this would have been a good time to bring back Stu Macher, his "death" has always been disputed, its even mentioned in this about him maybe not being dead. It's maybe something they'll do at some point, I just thought everything was in place for it to happen in this instalment. I enjoyed this a lot more than part 5, part 5 just felt "off" to me for some reason.
Somewhat surprisingly, the movie didn't suffer at all with no Neve Campbell, which seemed to be a big worry among the fanbase. In terms of numbers its doing really well for a slasher movie as well, $30 odd million more than part 5.
Actress Melissa Barrera has been dropped from the upcoming new Scream movie after reportedly sharing social media posts which criticised Israel in its war against Hamas in Gaza.
The Mexican star was in the cast for Scream 7 but has now been fired by the production company Spyglass, according to Variety magazine.
A spokesperson for Spyglass said the posts were viewed as antisemitic.
They told Variety: "Spyglass' stance is unequivocally clear: We have zero tolerance for antisemitism or the incitement of hate in any form, including false references to genocide, ethnic cleansing, Holocaust distortion or anything that flagrantly crosses the line into hate speech."
he actress has posted regularly on Instagram about the conflict, and the magazine reported she shared a post that accused Israel of "genocide and ethnic cleansing".
The 33-year-old has starred in the two most recent films in the hit murder mystery and slasher franchise - Scream - released in 2022 - and Scream VI, which came out earlier this year. She played Sam Carpenter in both movies.

Wonder who's gonna take her place.
Seen another article saying Jenna Ortega may not be in it either due to scheduling conflicts with "Wednesday". So if that's the case, its a major recasting of the 2 leads, or a big delay on the movie, or somehow make it all about Sidney again for this instalment and only refer to 'Sam and Tara' in passing as they did with Sidney in Scream 6.
I don't understand why they do this in movies, especially the Scream movies where the protagonists have entire scenes dedicated to pointing out the stupidity of horror/slasher movie tropes.
When the killer was stabbing Gail in her apartment and Sam and Tara appear with a gun aimed directly at the attacker, why did they have to shout a warning before firing? Why not just pop the **** first and then say something witty?
Because the movies play into those tropes as well as making fun of them, basically always have.
Bring it back to Woodsboro and pay Neve Campbell.
Losing Barrera is bad but Ortega aswell!? You either have to go old school or just delay it.
