Scum

I felt like **** when my mountain bicycle got stolen, I can't imagine how crappy I'd feel if my ride got nicked. Sorry for ya bud :(
But I got over it and so will you.
And remember, they can steal your ride, but they can't steal the rider in you.
They will never be free as we are. So let 'em have it, they're pathetic as it is to have to steal at all.
And what comforts me most is the fact that one day they WILL "meet the owner", if I can put it that way. I guarantee you that. And it will be game over.

Sorry to hear you've had your bike pinched, with any luck you'll get it back relatively unscathed.

Unfortunately you're wrong there, it used to be that people would replace it using insurance. From what I've read (can't remember where, one of the bike mags either this month or last) the number of people who just give up when they have their bike stolen is increasing.

If it is ******, I very much doubt that, more likely the owner will end up getting the **** kicked out of them and have the bike stolen anyway.

It's the adventurous spirit I'm talking about. If getting your bike stolen is enough to put you off riding permanently, then you simply didn't have it to begin with. I'm sorry, but that's the way I see it.

Don't worry mate, there's always some jacked up dude capable of making a mush out of anybody trying to steal his machine. No matter how tough you are, there's always someone tougher. Always. And it's only a matter of time when these thieves will run into one.
Now just out of curiosity, wouldn't ****** be first on cops' list as potential perpetrators? They'd certainly be prime suspects, wouldn't you agree?

Just a quick update.

My Insurance company are a joke.

It's been over a week now. I've made 5 calls during this week, twice I was told a member of their theft department would call me back within the hour, once I was placed on hold for half an hour only to be told they couldn't help and the last two calls I've just been hung up on.

I know my experience isn't likely to be universal so I'm not going to start preaching about how terrible LV/Highway are for everyone. I'm just angry and disappointed.

Bloodsucking insurance companies -.-
They charge massive premiums only to try and weasel their way out of 90% of situations.
I understand that they have to protect themselves from fraud, but sometimes they are really taking it way too far with their customers' patience.
