ok i think i will buy the 'Scythe Ninja Plus' as i have heard from many people on this that it is the best cpu cooler around especially as i want to O/C a lot, but does anyone recommend any other cpu coolers? i would replace the 120mm fan but what is the best 120mm around or what is the best to go with the 'Scythe Ninja Plus'

cheers

what about the ThermalRight SI-120 or any other thermalrights?

btw i have p4 3.2GHz Prescott socket 478 and with this new cpu cooler i want to have it O/Ced to around 3.8+

dont know much about intel side of things sorry.

pretty sure the thermalrights are rather good due to their size and 120mm fan capabilities

scythe ninja is the best second is the big typhoon.

but the cooling capabilities vary depending upon how the case is configured. if you have a push pull setup as in air in from the front and out the back then the scythe ninja is your best bet.

if like me you have a big side intake fan on the side of your case then a cooler like the big typhoon/xp-120/g-power may work better for you.

price wise the scythe ninja is quite expensive nearly 40 quid.
the big typhoon costs a few pence under £23 inc vat and if it fits on your board and in your case i would recommend it from a price/performance point.

sorry to post in your thread but just wondering which one is better:

a) zalman 9500 or b) 'Scythe Ninja Plus'

Or are they very similar?

Very similar by the looks of that review. In fact, it is better than the Scythe at full RPM, but it gets too loud for most people.

The first three positions are very close to each other, but two leaders are obvious: Zalman CNPS9500 LED and Scythe Ninja . The position of the CNPS9500 LED is rather ambiguous – if you increase its fan speed to the maximum of 2600rpm, this cooler will probably become an absolute leader, but there’ll be too much noise for home use.

Hmm, i just fitted a ninja tonight :)

Room @ 24oc

Full load Temp 48oc, got to 50 once,

Do these seem bad temps to anyone ?

I think they are pretty good considering room temp and my cpu having 1.6 Volts through it :)

Was a good upgrade i think, but some people seem to think not
