Scythe Ninja Plus

barney u play uo ?

Did a few years ago briefly but play WoW now :)

i found the SN fairly easy to fit on my board, the fan can be a pain but i found it easier to put the wire in the slot first then pull the pin bits into the fan holes, like i said though watch your figures :)

I had to original arctic freezer 64 then upgraded to the scythe ninjar well tbh its kinda a little waste of time and money.

Maybe dropped like 4C at max and the fan that came on the freezer was actualy quieter than a 120mm amber.

Maybe it will increase performance as the AS5 settles in again but atm it seem a lot of money to spend for 4C drop in temps plus it weighs a bit and stops me using my first DIMM slot :(

scythe ninja is the best air cooling solution your gonna come accross.
The Tuniq Tower 120 is better. Rare in the UK, but I've one coming £33.

Hmm, i just fitted a ninja tonight :)

Room @ 24oc

Full load Temp 48oc, got to 50 once,

Do these seem bad temps to anyone ?

I think they are pretty good considering room temp and my cpu having 1.6 Volts through it :)

Hmmm, same CPU and similar overclock, case temp at 21, idle at 32, full load at 40.

u must have a bad stepping 3700 to be shoving that many volts through it to achive that overclock, nice system specs though

Well, the best heatsink / fan i have tried and have is the Thermalright SI-120 with a Nexus 120mm fan. Keeps everything cool and quiet! The fan has a very low CFM but is more than good enough to keep the CPU around 34 idle. I don't have any case fans either!! CPU overclocked to 2.5 (AMD)

kab2e, can't push it any further than that without hitting problems. Luck of the draw I suppose, but 2.75ghz from a 2.2ghz chip aint all bad.

I think 2794 or 2806 mhz is great for 1.6 volts to be honest lol.

Doing it on stock volts is just lucky :)

I still use my DIMM slot fine. My fan is Panaflo 120mm I just sat it on top of the memory ;)
