Just had my Samsung HD322HJ die, well not quite, switched pc on nothing.
removed the drive & tried it in my Akasa caddy, nothing, totally expired, had no warning signs it was dying.
Just arranged a RMA through Seagate, interesting experience, but they require you to return drive in a anti-static clamshell
, nearly all my drives came in a cardboard box with two pieces of foam.
I don't want Seagate to reject my RMA because of packing, they are quite particular in required packaging.
Has any one returned a drive in a box with packing to Seagate & got a replacement.
