SEAT Leon 5 Door Hatch 1.4 EcoTSI 150 FR Technology DSG

Looking at a new car for the other half, and these have caught my eye on the work scheme.

£320 a month for a 2yr deal (options are 18in wheels and the Mystery blue paint) 3yr is a bit more due to higher APR and i don't want it that long.

I understand this will be the facelift version due next month. DSG isn't much more and this is the preference.

Any thoughts? it looks very good value compared to the other options, this is includes all maintenance and insurance for me + spouse.

Thanks

its nice having a new car but i cant fathom people throwing this sort of cash away.
whats the down payment ?

We recently got a Seat Leon FR (Technology 150PS).

It's a cracking car for the cost. However, we came from an Audi and the quality difference was noticeable.
We looked at Seat, Mazda, VW, Audi and Mercedes and settled for the Seat due to cost and options knowing the resale would be the worst most probably.

We have Carplay, Auto Wipers, Climate Control, LED Headlights etc and it's the same price as our outgoing low-mid spec Audi A1. Which to be fair, was a very disappointing car anyway.

nearly 8k that can buy a pretty good car for the misses.
if you dont have the 8k in cash then get a bank loan and buy a car.

8k thrown away in 2 years is barmy.
just my opinion though :)

Not a bad price considering your putting nothing in. I'm sure the usual suspects which come in tell you, you could get a better deal and just buy a focus etc. My own two pence is I'd rather keep £8k in the bank. If you want a brand new car with hassle free motoring then it's not a bad was to go.

We have two Leon's mine which is a Cupra 280 and the misses who has a Leon 1.2se. Nothing wrong with them and they both have served us well. I can't fault the Leon in many departments both have good economy and have lots of toys. The facelift does have an electronic handbrake which puts some people off.

I've got Leon FR ST with the same engine and I'm really happy with mine. I'm due to change my car in October and already eyeing up the new Leon ST as it's replacement.

This is bonkers money for such an ordinary car. You should be able to peak up a cheap enough lease deal on this or a similar car for at least a hundred quid a month less.

Wow, £320 is pretty steep!
Albeit a VW employee benefit, I was paying £138/month for one of these.

Crazy money assuming you will be doing <10k miles. It works out to £7,680 over 2 years

As an example for comparison:

A4
Estate - £6,552 over 2 years https://www.contractcars.com/car-leasing/audi/audi-a4-avant-1-4tfsi-150ps-sport-5dr/
Avant - £6,321 over 2 years https://www.contractcars.com/car-leasing/audi/a4-leasing/

Servicing will be 1 service (i.e. £200), there should be no maintenance on a brand new car under warranty and insurance can only be worth £500-£600 over 2 years? Leaving you still £500 in your pocket and (in my view) a better car.

Only picking these as I've just bought an A4 so did a lot of research. Some good deals to be had if you aren't fussy, and come with Android Auto/Apple car play as standard. The car was entirely new about a year ago as opposed to the Leon that will be a facelift of an older model.

Wouldn't want to be going anywhere near over £200 a month for one of these. Decent car but that is far too much money.

Jealous of the prices you guys pay for driving new cars :(.

My Leon ST crappy ecomotive is 460€ pm (though boss pays that, I only pay about 200 pm in tax for using company car privately, for 30k km's per year).

I'd love the Technology pack and an FR. I have a ''Style Connected'' spec + Leather upgrade + Business upgrade (just the upgraded HU/Radio, LED's, and reversing cam).
I've had the Golf 7 as a loan car recently for a week, and definitely prefer the feel of the Leon.
