Poll: Sebastian Vettel

Should Vettel be penalised for his radio outburst during the 2016 Mexico grand prix?

a simple fine would seem reasonable to me.`

I think radio is vital part of the experience and greatly adds to the event, that we didn't have in the passed, and that was pretty over the top.

but banned or suspended etc lol.

Hell no, I was surprised that he didn't throw a punch or two afterwards. F1 definitely needs more road rage... :p Just give him a pat on the back.

No, he should be praised. We need real people, not corporate clones who are perminantly on message. You can also always tell when someone is good as he starts to **** off the previous stars and again, that's good for the sport.

However I would say 1 thing, since he left Red Bull Vettel's real pace and race craft has been found a little bit wanting. Not taking away his 4 championships, even in the best car which he definitely have this take skill, but as I have said before (same with Kimi) I don't see him as a top ranker on pace and race craft.

Im the opposite on this, I think in an inferior car he has had some good battles and shown himself to be a top quality racer, not saying the best, but definitely up there!

Exactly, the quality of the car has a massive impact. How bad was Lewis in 2011 (think it was 2011) in that mclaren.

Alonso is the only driver I've seen consistently race at a top level in all the cars he's driven.

Vettel has had some poor races this year but I thought he was fantastic last year.

I tend to agree, last year he was brilliant. This yeah he seems pretty frustrated by bad strategy calls and some poor reliability especially with his gearboxes. Granted he has made a few errors. He was brilliant at Mexico and was well deserving of a podium.

As much as we want to see passion and what the drivers really think without the PR filter, telling one of the people who runs the sport to **** off really isn't on in any sport. He is clearly massively frustrated though at being the next championship winning driver to spend years at Ferrari winning next to nothing.

The FIA need to be quicker to sort these things out, likewise 3 laps to give the place back is just silly. Decisions need to be quick and decisive. The teams also need to be grown up enough to sort this out themselves and not require a stewards investigation into something where they already know the outcome.

To be honest, I'd have told Charlie and Max to **** *** as well.

Swearing on the radio to your team is different to shouting at a ref in a footy match. This would have been a non-issue if FOM hadn't picked it to broadcast.
