Anyone play this and could help me get an insight on how it's like? Looks quite interesting.
 
I played it for 3/4 hours one time. Quite amusing however I did manage to get myself banned for creating a huge 'thing' and attatching it somewhere inappropriate.

Not worth playing though IMO for a long term thing.
 
The BBC Tech news section people seem to be obsessed with it. I've never actually met anyone who claims to play / use it but if you read the BBC apparently it's what everyone's doing.

It's just like.. an MMO chat where you have an avatar. You can create your own objects and sell them in game I believe. Certain people have become millionaires by doing so.

It's a good idea but it's really ugly.
 
It's a "game" for Bob from Human Resources, who has heard of this MMO thing where you live like it's a real life.
Bob's wife just left him because he is an underequipped man, and both his children (boy and a girl) turned out to be gay.

If you "play" it properly you can make a fortune, I recall some woman making a million from it a few months back. Don't knock it till you've tried it properly, might be the difference to going to work everyday or making thousands from that if you know how to.
 
Tried it for a couple of hours once, god awful interface and really not much to do unless you're prepared to pump real cash into it, which you won't be because it just doesnt work very well. :p

My experience exactly.

Full of tacky, user-created objects and buildings and is a genuine eyesore IMHO!

If you're in it to make money, go for it :) If you're in it for fun, don't bother :p
 
i played it for a week just for fun really, i also got banned :( went into some ones world and put a massive beep on top of there house! i found it funny :p
 
Earned approximately USD$600 from secondlife. It's not easy to earn money though. You have to apply RL skills inside in order to earn L$(Currency game) and convert them into USD$. However, it is getting laggier and laggier as day passes, therefore, , i took all my money off and just go in to hang out with friends.

I don't even know how WOW works, lol. I just know you walk around slaying or something? Pardon for my ignorant, just not interested in that, lol.
 
Strange that you never seem to come across anyone who plays it, yet everyone is going on about it on TV :confused:
