Hey, im looking at getting the PC350s, but saw these came out.
I wondered what you guys think of the price (£174 at OcUK).
Does anyone have these?
I'm just wondering whats different, and how sennheiser recon they are worth £174 :O

I think 100 is a lot for a headset, surely they can't expect to sell any at 174.
I'm currently looking at a pair of PC350s on ebay for 60.

Interesting - it's an open design.

At a guess, I'd say expect something very similar to the HD555 or HD595. Maybe same drivers. We shall see.

If that's the case, they'll be a bit overpriced.

The old PC350's have the same drivers as the HD595's, only difference is the casing, the PC350's can be made to sound like the HD595's with a simple mod involving drilling holes in emm heh.

I wonder what these PC360's bring to the table, i cant see much difference in the specs, looks like the same awesome mic. Maybe theyve negated the need to have to drill holes in your 350's to make them sound good, as the 360 appears to have a more open design with the grill on the side.

yeah i read about that mod, probably going to do it to my pair.
Yeah i recon they have sorted out that problem, thats about it, and wacked £70 on the price tag, lol.

So if you did this mod on the 350s would they then be classed as open. and leak sound.

More than they would without holes drilled in them :P

The place you drill is actually an enclosure under the outer case so once the headsets all put back together theres no way to tell theyve been modded at all. So i guess theyre still closed but with more bass, mine sound better with music anyways.

With the mod does it take away the gaming performance as I was thinking of doing mine, but I dont really listen to music on them, just use them for gaming purposes only.
Should I do the mod or not?
Sorry for thread hijack.

It's ok guys, i dont mind. Thats a good question about whether it will affect gaming performance. I was also thinking the same thing.

I've just managed to get a pair of brand new PC350s for £70 + £4.95 postage off ebay, hopefully ill get them before the end of the week, ill try and test them before and after the mod and try and compare it.

BTW, is there a good guide anywhere on how to mod, ive seen one, but it was just 3 pictures, no much description on how to do it, or get the casing off etc.

I assume you mean this thread:

http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f4/modding-sennheiser-pc350-headset-406187/

Thats the thread that guided me, its a bit all over the place i think there might be more pictures later on.

Basically the leather padded bits can be pulled off and clipped back on again, they arent attached by glue or anything, after that you have access to the screws so you can take the headset apart and access the bit you need to drill. Try just 1 hole in each side at first.

Just done the mod on mine:)

Watch out for the hidden screw under the foam tape on the left hand side can (where cable goes in)

Definate improvement in games and music.

Interested in these new 360s. Do the earpeices fit completely over the ear like a pair of 595s or do they sit on the ear like my PC165s? Looking at the 330s, they look more like my old 165s.

Next questions is about the material. Is it sweaty leatherette or a more cushioned cloth affair?

Ehhh for £174? I would say hell no, when it comes down in price it should be great, but since theres zero reviews or anything right now i would stick it on the maybe buy later pile.

I dont think you can justify spending that much on just a headset.

Anyway, a lil off topic, but when i get home my PC350s should be waiting for me.
Now im mostly going to use them in CS:S and wondered what settings to use to get the best performance. I've got a x-fi xtreme music sound card, i assume i should set that to headphones with CMSS enabled. However, i've read that some people set it to 2/2.1

Also i've read that in game it can be better to put it on 5.1 instead of headphones, can anyone clarify which is best|
