Sennheiser to exit consumer headphone and speaker markets...

I guess the domestic market is too saturated.
I've always seen them as a pro audio producer, like if you watch live concerts it's unusual to see vocalists and instrument mics using microphones that aren't sennhieser gear.

I'd be interested to see whether the consumer/audiophile market has shifted. I don't think many companies really cover both markets.

Epos customer service was good to me last year when I needed a replacement set of cans under warranty. No questions asked.

Sorry should have stated direct from Sennheiser.

Yea, with that discount im wondering if its worth swapping my headphones out, had them for years and still sound fantastic but starting to get a bit tatty. Anyone whos more up-to-date on this can suggest / recommend where the sweet spot is for mixed usage, including gaming?

I dont mind spending more to get something that will last longer either.

Gaming on which device? Over Bluetooth? Which version of Bluetooth?

I don’t think I’d get these for wireless gaming on a PC but they’ll be very decent headphones. Adore my Momentum 2 Wireless, hence getting these :)

Wired is fine :)

Sennheiser Momentum Wireless 3 are half price right now

The GOAL21 code still works :)

I ordered from the Outlet last week at £170, and the following day England scored 3+ goals to qualify for the 50% off code, so I ordered a another pair at £175.

Sennheiser won't cancel an order, you have to reject the delivery or get an RMA. Still waiting for either pair to arrive. Will return the Outlet pair, or might keep if it's brand new and sealed.

A few reviews I read say they sound best wireless or using the USB-C cable for wired. The 3.5mm cable doesn't sound as good. I have the wired M1 with and will try the cable with the in-line mic with these. If they work well with a game controller, I'll order a cable for the M3.

Remember they do work wired over USB-C.

USB-C with a smartphone will be nice if there is an improvement in sound quality.

90%+ of my listening is EDM, and it seems that's the best genre for these. Hope mine arrive soon.

Depends on the DAC you’d otherwise be using.

Can’t see there being much of a difference though for most situations.

I maybe wrong, but isn't the DAC in the headphones? The source will just pass the digital signal over USB. I've read reviews saying there is no difference between Bluetooth and USB, but a bitrate over USB should make a difference.
