what.... so now i will have to wait ages again?

what a con - absolute joke of a company

my 360 will be in the bin tonight if this isnt sorted - have that microsoft
 
I thought that last month they delayed it in order to fully test it and ensure it wasn't a buggy POS?? they go on holiday instead or something? :o

Real shame about the names, they are all real in my PC version.
 
Please find below the statement from Microsoft:

It has come to our attention that an incorrect version of Sensible World of Soccer was made available on Xbox LIVE® Arcade for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft® which has since been taken down. This version incorrectly disconnected users that attempted to connect to Xbox LIVE.

We are currently investigating the issue and will have a correctly functioning version of Sensible World of Soccer available soon.

Any users that have already downloaded Sensible World of Soccer will need to delete their copy of the game and download it again when the correctly functioning version is available in order to enjoy online play via Xbox LIVE. Following this process does not incur any additional charges.

Please look out for the fully functional version of Sensible World of Soccer soon. We thank you for your patience.
 
Depends what the problem is I guess. If they have to do a rebuild they might have to go through the testing/certification process again :(
 
I haven't used my Xbox360 in 2 months but when this is on XBL and works I shall be downloading it. Used to love this game on the Amiga!

I know, that would be worst case scenario. By saying 'an incorrect version' it almost sounds like it was just the wrong version that was put up.

Unfortunately saying it will be available soon is like asking how long is a piece of string, there's any number of timeframes that 'soon' could apply to.
 
What's disgusting I feel is that the remake is by Sheffield based Kuju in which Stoo Cambridge works (one of the original artists of the original game on the Amiga) and he's let this through the system!!!! Guy should be shot with frozen wee.
 
on the plus side...if you were lucky enough to download it before they took it away...the single player is a good as it ever was

I know it doesnt help the people that didnt download it..but never mind..it will turn up eventually :D
 
Starting to get the hang of it again now.. still getting the same old frustration with player selection or when a play heads/slides when they should pass it.. good laugh though :)
 
If it's an incorrect version that's been uploaded, that should be quick to correct

Getting all the people who paid for the duff version to be able to d/l the correct for free may be a bit more complicated to implement perhaps?
