I need to get on to The Wire, friends of mine have watched it all and have said it's easily better than Sopranos etc.. I loved that, so have high expectations of it. Not to mention the amount of folk like yourself who have been singing it's praises on here.

I couldn't get into The Wire, tho loads of people really hype it and several friends name it as their favorite show ever... not sure what I'm missing but it never grabbed me and I stopped half way through season 3. Granted some of the characters are great but nothing really had me rushing to watch the next episode. Its decent enough if I had nothing else to watch I'd prolly continue with it but its not one I'd put on a "must watch" list.

West Wing, plenty there to keep you occupied and its a brilliant show, sublimely written. Not a bad series.

Same liked the charactors and wit and drama... but after the 1st few seasons fell asleep.... maybe cos I had just come from watching 24, and my brain needed to relax and watch some explosions and some good gun fights !
Aint heard of Community or Justified ever, but NCIS has not been mentioned thats a quality show right there, one of americias top shows I belive.

Justified is interesting for awhile but its a kinda one trick pony once you've seen 2-3 episodes you've seen them all.
Another one I found somewhat interesting was Beaver Falls... not that great on its own but it scratched the itch for something like Inbetweeners which it isn't a patch on but similiarish in many ways.
No-one I know has ever heard of Breaking Bad, we're just watching series 2 now and it's fantastic. Utterly compelling so far.
