Serious Sam 3 Announced

Me and my mate just got done playign co op must have had a 4-5 hour session, it starts off a bit slow and meh but it soon gets awesome.

I am playing on ultra and vivid colors and it looks amazing and really pushes my pc to the limits. Added some screenshots to the high res section. I love how some and dust kick up in fire fights and how its just pure choas at times .

I like the mix between the serious weapons and the not so serious too :)

I pre-ordered this, but didn't feel like playing it last night. I love the serious sam series (including SS2 which many people didn't) and I've been waiting for this for years. But now that it's here I find myself only interested in strategy games... I'm sure my mood will change soon enough though!

The reason for that is that your brain has been p0wned by ****** console shooters.

This plays like a balls out, old school shooter.

The deathmatch is awesome.

Makes you realise how ****** console shooters have become, Sam delivers the fun as allways.

As said, this is a PC shooter, no doubt about it.

Croteam have polished this nice.

Completely forgot about this, absolutely loved the first one and didn't play the 2nd instalment. Just watching the weapon trailer has got me hooked though and am sorely tempted to get this, shame I have just restarted Oblivion though :o.

The last shooter I played was Hard Reset (PC only, old-school shooter), so not really. Although I'll admit Rage did put me off the genre slightly...

It's more that I'm becoming more fickle about the games I play as I get older. I'm sure I'll get the urge for some action again soon enough

Get it, you know you want to :)

Fair play.

Hard reset was a throwback and thoroughly entertaining.

What I love about SS3 is that at heart, it is still SS.

This game deserves much more attention than it is getting.

Even more annoying is the "Critics" reviews on Metascore.

The RPS review says it all.

So, let’s instead be delighted by Serious Sam 3: it doesn’t get lost in its own joke, it is nothing short of magnificent in its destruction and its technology and it is absolutely, 100% dumb. It is sad, in a way, that it took Serious Sam coming back and doing more or less the same thing, but bigger, louder, crazier, to remind us once again of why we really play first-person shooters, and what wonderful, ridiculous sights and sensation games which are about placing a reticule over things and pressing fire can achieve if only they were honest about their own, gloriously stupid, testosteroneal nature. We don’t seem capable of learning Sam’s lesson for long – but, as before, it’s one you can be damn sure you’ll love hearing. Essential, glorious, braindead, monstrous: Sam as he ever was, and quite frankly we need him more now than ever.

Critic reviews just don’t get it.

Classic shooter in the Doom/Quake style of run and gun, co-op is great fun with a few mates and survival modes hilarious at times
