Seriously !!

How is it 'sad'? If you aren't fortunate enough to make luxurious purchases often, then I imagine the boxing day sales are a good opportunity to get some much desired bargains.

Yay for being middle class, mmm?

There is looking for a deal and there is what that video shows.

I wouldn't ever queue up outside a shop for a 7am opening on sale day and burst through the doors running into a store screaming like a 6 year old.

I think it's more so the fact that it seems to rule over people's lives so much. Going into town now and having a look after having a relaxing start to the day is fine but getting up and in town for before 7am just to queue outside a shop is the sad bit.

My sister has just got over £1000s worth of kids clothes for £150 this morning.
It was well worth rushing into a shop for.
Back in the late 80s I rushed into Curry's for a £1500 TV and got it for £500

I was thinking of heading into town today as I had a bit of money to spend, and with the Mrs at work it was going to be a boring day at home. I'm so relieved I decided not to, if the shops had been like that... Ugh, couldnt have handled it!

I would love to have the whole place empty and then hide it behind a fake wall, then open the doors so they all flood in and then it suddenly dawns on them there is sod all and they have wasted so many hours cueing and pushing each other about just to get some stupid bargain lmao.

Just because it said it was reduced doesn't mean that was what it is actually worth.

Perhaps not in the 80s, but nowadays high street stores rip you off so much anyway that their sale prices are nothing special.

Last year my Gran wanted a Dyson, waited until after Xmas and it was 10 quid cheaper.

Stuff like clothes were never worth as much as they charged anyway, you pay a premium for having the latest style, buying clothes with this premium discounted a week before the next collection comes out is hardly that amazing.

I like to check the ukhotdeals website, but I rarely ever go shopping as stuff is always (>99% of the time) cheaper online.

What idiots going crazy for boxing day deals.

Yeah, I rarely if ever buy anything from shops nowadays, always online as its far cheaper, especially for things like video games, DVD's, music and electronics.

Don't forget the British, Europeans, Africans and the rest of them there worldly folk. ;)

Yes but I'm talking majority purely from observation. Its quite clear Asian people are in the majority in that video.

Edit: It's not surprising really, we are a multi-cultural country, especially London and most white British people will probably doing the traditional thing from them of being at home with family and enjoying boxing day that way.
