I've been working with Draytek Taiwan support this week and now have a working firmware in the 2850n. All options appear to work fine and I note that they have added some very nice failover and load balancing features. These may or may not be fully functional of course.
Credit where it's due, 10/10 to Draytek Taiwan for prompt and courteous assistance. I don't always like being a beta tester but the 2850n ticks all the boxes for my application so I'm glad I stuck with it.
I presume that they will release a formal version soon if they haven't already done so.
