A slightly earlier edition of the news this week as I won't be home tomorrow to do it, so thought I'd treat you all today instead :p

I wondered last week if we could get our RAC past 450,000… I am pleased to say that we've smashed that, taking it past 463,000! That puts us 13 days away from stomping The Planetary Society AND puts another team in our sights (although that’s a long-term job)!

Welcome to the new member, and as always congrats to the tiffy winners! Don’t forget that you can get your tiffies from www.teamocuk.co.uk; simply click on your username, scroll to the bottom of the page and use the relevant urls to display them in all their Technicolor beauty on this forum! If you think you have been missed off the milestones list, please let me know and I’ll add you manually.

I'm getting a great deal of pleasure from seeing the Team doing well lately.
A good few members have drastically upped thier outputs in recent days and this is having an immediate effect - thanks go to you guys
And what about returning members - does it get any better than this?
I think the teams average will keep rising for a while yet :D

Think big, think very big - forget those Planetary peeps, they are history - I think were good for the World top 5 - just a matter of time.

Thanks for the news Tross.

Thanks for the news, once again. There certainly seems some renewed interest in SETI at the moment. Long may it continue.

I see I continue to slip down the output stakes - I just wish I knew why the output was falling. It's going to fall a little more though, because the latest upgrade in hardware has brought on two problems:

1) I've installed a GTX480, and mine doesn't do CUDA either. All units crash as Computation Error.

2) I've split the SLI 285s and put one in each of the other machines, so I can bin the 280 which wasn't working. I installed the now-spare 8800GTX in one of them as a second card for PhysX. Which is great, except SETI doesn't seem to want to run CUDA on it. I've turned PhysX off, but it still doesn't use the card.

This effectively leaves me with just two CUDA GPUs for the foreseeable future.

Big thanks for the news TT and a team pat on the back for a great weeks output, am just about to try my 480 with app_info.xml kindly supplied by Reaver.
I'll be back later and let you all know how it goes :)

[Lancashire mode start] appen i ave, appen i avent [Lancashire mode end]
Am just putting a few finishing touches to it and will give ya the gorry details in a bit....3 smileys your right they do look sus hows about....
:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Been sat twiddling my fingers crossing then uncrossing them but yup the 480 works.
Put it in a machine on its own after removing 3 260's and it took of from where the 260 left the last gpu task, started on the next and is plodding along.
Temp is fine at 74 fan at %50, but me being me and wanting to push it a bit added 2 of the 260's, same mobo as yours marine...boinc again carried on with the 480 task but the 2 x 260 it had just picked up are showing as waiting to run.
So its a mixed bag good that its working, looked at boinc messages tab they're definately there.
Here's one for you all, now i thought the higher the gpu the higher gflops peak it would have, the 480 shows as 336 gflops peak and the "waiting to run" 260's are showing as 537 gflops peak....maybe they just cannot work together a sort of cameron and clegg pc combo ???

Lol glad its working now (sort of) I should hopefully be back in the top 100 this evening, highest i have been was 96th and will breeze past that too in the next day or so I hope :D

Edit: Dammit forgot to turn SLI off after a bit of gaming and now got two errors, Bah! :p
