SETI@Home News Vol. 136 25th - 1st July 2011

Well I just accessed SETI@home for the first time since 2000! Downloaded boinc. Obviously things ahve progressed since back then btu it's not downloading any work units. Are there currently no units/server issues?

Once I get it all up and running again will look for team ocuk!

Just updated my Lunatics now doing GPU drivers i am still on 258.96  I don't do upgrades much :D :p

Nice one Mr M bet you notice a change for the better when it comes to completion times :)

Hi welshdragon

There have been some problems with seti of late but once your up'n running and have a cache of upto 10 days then you should get enough work to carry you over the small blips.
Be good to have you on the team :)
Server Status page and you can click on the community link at the top and have a look at the message boards, they do have a regular scheduled outage usually tuesdays for a few hours

Cheers for the news Toxic - what is wrong with an inflatable Susan Boyle :eek:

Nice tiffy meridian - stunning total..

Im not sure the new lunatics app is faster, Im seeing an average wu time of 13-15 mins on a 470 which is slower than before, I might roll back to a previous version of drivers..

Argh! What do you guys use as your back up projects?

I've got GPUGRID set up as 0% resource share, but it keeps on downloading units even when I have got plenty of seti GPU units

It only downloads a couple of them but they take 12 hours to complete!

Firstly why is it doing this, I thought setting up something with 0 should mean it only downloads when you are completely out of work? Or is it whenever you don't have a 10day stash? How can I make sure these units only crunch when I am completely out of seti work?

Secondly what do you guys use for back up projects? I'd like something that doesn't take 12 hours for one unit hogging my seti resources :p

Cheers!

This just popped through the door, oops didn't notice I had 10 years seti birthday last week:D

Title headings would be similar, just narrower and no seti logo. If you like one in particular let me know and I'll put together some example title headings, or if you have any suggestions for improvements I'll see how far my limited photoshop skills carry me! :p

Thanks for that Mr Chasser sah very much appreciated but i have dumped a few projects and now cannot seem to find how to alter the size of the remaining text, sorry bout this:o

Thanks for the graphics input Mr dekez sah shall shuffle them into my save folder and see what transpires your effort is much appreciated.

Does anyone have a direct line to Mr Berserker ( as in someone he will answer ) as he does not reply to any emails i have sent :( . Am trying to do a few things it seems like i am haveing to coax people ... no offence Mr Team Founder but its hard to remain motivated and be prepared to help with the Team OcUk web site running costs when i get no input am trying here.

Calm down Mr TTB, I'm sure Mr berserker will be along soon enough.

Have a look at the sig page on team ocuk http://www.teamocuk.co.uk/tsig/bs_setup.php

You can change the font size there, and see what it does to the example code, and then apply the corresponding logic to your own sig code as necessary.
