Morning ozaudio

On that screenshot you showed last night highlight seti and when the boxes show on the left hand side go to "Team" :)

i really need a 3770k to keep up lol this 3570k cant keep up haha

its pay day friday + ebay funds so maybe ill invest in a new cpu and possable a motherboard aswell on friday, uinless my motherboard can cope with it all? this is what i have now
Asus P8Z77-V LX Intel Z77

Your cpu and mobo are fine nowt wrong with em, depending on wether you choose to do 1 project or more it may be worth considering upgradeing your gpu. Each project will tell you what it takes to run it and eventually you will figure out a balance that suits you but rack up them there gpus if you are able too.
As with anything else if your unsure about owt ask theres allways someone within shouting distance :)

oz your showing on the seti stats and it shows you are doing GPU work

Milkyway Stats, work again showing GPU being used

Einstein can't find you (but in your screenshot your username is PC not ozaudio, is that supposed to be like that?)

As for the gpu's for the money 470's are great cards, giving good returns. You would have to spend a lot more to get not a lot more performance.

The people who return huge numbers are generally people using more than 4 or 5 GPU's on the projects that really work well on them, such as Seti (for NVidia) and Milkyway & Poem (for AMD) thats usually 4 or more GPU's on each project.

For Folding you get reasonable returns on GPU's but not as much as on multisocket multicore CPU's

Depends what you want to do, if you want to spread yourself out thinly across multiple projects then keep doing what you are doing, it all helps both the science and the team. However if you want to amass bigger output then you are better focusing all your efforts on one project and keep a couple of others as backups for when there are outages. With your hardware Seti would be a good fit, even for the CPU.

:) Cant deny your enthusiasm ozaudio its good to see, like Mr Biffa says regardless of what project you crunch your helping science either way ...... dont forget to check the team oc uk website to see if you have earned a tiffy you can then proceed to slap people silly with it :eek::D

I thought i had the ie9 problem licked another clean install no dice ..... formatted the wrong drive in the process so no tv for me tonight lost everything to do with the projects so if someone has teh time or the inclination could i request the following ... :o

A link to 6.10.58 tried the latest one its been dormant for a few hours now what a waste
The cc_config to use all gpu's and max transfers .... yeah i know i should know it by now but not being cranially retentive has its drawbacks :)

when installed click add project, you'll see seti , it'll take you to a box asking for email and password, after that it then opens a webpage asking for username , country and postcode, after this you need to add your team, just type Ocuk in the search box. the drop down box below that will let you select s country. Click search and Ocuk will be at the top of the list, click it, if you then read a few lines down it says " join this team" , click that.
