Setting up Pi-hole

Too much. You should only need the Hagezi ones and you may find with the pro plus you'll have to whitelist.

I just use the pro with tif and don't run into any issues but YMMV.
This.

I run Hagezi Multi Pro and nothing else. Could consider running the Threat Intelligence Feeds on top but it needs significant resources (2GB Memory )

Also consider whether you need network level blocking of DNS, Encrypted DNS and the addition of a known Encrypted DNS list from Hagezi to avoid devices bypassing your DNS server.

I block DNS and Encrypted DNS on a port and signature basis on my gateway.

Anyone running 2 instances of pihole on the network?

how are you finding it and are they playing well togeather.

Asking as i ran pihole a few years back and found that sometimes it would ignore pihole interally and then on a rehreash of the browser it would work again and have seen that some people are tunning 2 piholes and getting around that problem.

New update...

I thought I'd update so I could compare to how long it used to take on the Pi Zero W vs my current Pi4 4GB. Jesus it was lightning fast, maybe 30 seconds, the Zero used to take about 5 minutes (if it even updated instead of crashing!)

Yep, I've got 2 running without any problems.

Not sure I understand that problem but you could just give the first instance an additional IP address

The only time devices ignore it, is it you set a 2nd DNS server going direct to the router or internet. Just leave the secondary blank and there will be no issue
