Just got another WD3200AAKS. Never setup RAID before, but understand the concept so just a question or 2.

Is it a straightforward process on this board?
Anyone who has done it on this board, have you had any issues?
Generally, is there anything I need to look out for?

Thanks

Connect the two drives to the Intel controller, go into the BIOS and set it up. If you want to install Windows on it you'll need the drivers on a floppy (XP) or any media (Vista).

Windows Vista picked up the raid 0 array after it was setup from bios boot up and installed without any drivers, ie no floppy.

Ahh... drivers from a floppy if installing XP... that could be a problem seeing as I no longer have a floppy drive.

then spend say 5 pounds or ask friend if he hs pc with floppy to borry then temp put it in instll then take it out ,
solved !
