I can't really remember, isn't she what Milchick was in S1 and as said, he's not severed. I assumed she wasn't.
Now I've caught up and can come to this thread, I was thinking to post this myself. Given there are very few people working there, how do they get away with so little workNot much Macrodata got refined this week.

2 managers with 4 reports and very little work getting done - aside from the office shagging, are we sure they aren't Civil Service?
even if she isnt why would a kid be there ? this is quite a grown up scenario even serious often with mistakes leading to the 2nd half of the person being killed off. so for a child to be there that has got to be a key to what is going off.
Dunno, hopefully we will find out soon.

Lumon seems like a religious type cult. Likely indoctrinated and put to work. She wants to be there.
Maybe she was created there. They made a huge point of the fact she's a child - also babies in the opening credits. Some cloning type shenanigans? Is severance the first step in cloning the mind? Feels like it's going to be very sinister whatever is really going on.
Yea could be that the “work” the innies are doing are helping some kind of observational learning for cloning.
I was wondering if his wife really was in a car crash. And she's now in a coma/vegetative state. But she can be severed and have an innie personality while her outie is effectively kaput.
Also about Miss Huang, I assume a lot about her can probably be learned from Miss Cobel? Didn't she have a bunch of stuff showing that she had clearly been involved with Lumon as a kid, so they obviously have some sort of kids program. I assume Miss Huang is just a younger Cobel. Also it could be that there are humans who are born within the severed floor and it's all they've ever known. Didn't the map Petey leave Mark have houses on it? There could be people permanently living in the severed floors. And it would explain the goats, it's just food/nourishment for the people who live there.

I'm really worried that half of this stuff on the journey is just wacky side shoots to keep up the mystery.
I am going to be really peed off if it's about love conquered all and love means your never truly dead blah blah the macro data projects are re building a version of Kier Snr. The founder and some kind of reincarnation/matrix bs.
It could literally be everything or anything the only constant to believe is there is only 1 shared physical body....
5 brain wave forms, I'd say 5 severed personalities wouldn't suprise me.
Maybe 4 the 4 tempers the 4 aspects of 1 bodies mind. 4 or 5 lol

Yeh I'm trying not to get too sucked in just incase there's a bit of a let down.
It's like LOST really, well the first few seasons - totally hooked, but then got a bit silly (but was still hooked back in the day!)

What an episode! It’s so good I’m getting mild anxiety hoping they’ll stick the landing.
i think i figured it out. if its this clever then its a 10 out of 10. i just dont think its that deep though. as that would be truly brilliant.
basically its AI. they controlling the AI making them think they are alive in code. lumon is basically a place where the AI are in sorta a maze. each room is a experience to make them think they are alive. at one point one of the " actual " coders says is it holding. so basically keeping the AI code in ! stopping them trying to get out. so looks like is a AI matrix scenario. where we are looking at it from a human side when we should be looking at it from the Ai side. im hoping its this deep as then it becomes more clever and interesting.
also the little girl manager i believe is either simulation or a child of...ms casey. haha gone deep. its that or...they are sick and finding a cure or simulation for people with brain issues or with serious disease.
We finally got to see the Dentist from a few episodes ago, what an episode too can't wait to see how next week is now we're into the final stretch.
This has spoilt pretty much any other weekly show I watch due to the pacing and how they keep pushing the story forward instead of milking it and drip feeding little bits.
