Severance

Yeah that was covered in S1.

Helena Eagan underwent the severance procedure as a PR stunt to make her father proud. However, the procedure backfired because her innie became the severed floor's most rebellious employee.

thanks guys, there was a lot going on in season 1, and frankly even the recap didn't get me totally up to speed. I'll need to rewatch the last ep of the 1st season.

Can't remember, but probably last episode of Season 1 @tangey ?
Wasn't it presented as the ultimate 'Our process is completely safe, look even an Egan will undergo the operation'?
Yep, and kind of like an 'art project' for her.

This is why I'm glad I binged S1 the week S2 released, that way I could remember what happened. :D

Not up to date. But 4 episodes into s2.

No where near as good as. S1. Finding it hard to concentrate on it.

Well, ep 8 , no idea what i just watched :)

It seems Harmony created the severance procedure. Need to watch an explanation vid!

Short episode too :(

Got the impression
she is also going to want to take down Lumon now, just from the start of the call with Mark S. Think Milchick will also go down that route.

Worst episode of the entire 2 series tbh.
Short and weird, more weirder and probably need to watch it 5x to soak up every detail.
Some revelations but... Meh.

I really feel like I need to rewatch s1

Yeah not the greatest episode that. Will wait until it's all done before judging it fully, but I always feared it would lead to something like this.

Intrigued to see where it goes now, really hope it's not a let down

the last 2 episode have been a bit of a chore tbh, i get it, they are fleshing out the story, i guess i would have preferred more interjection in other episodes than dedicating 2 episodes to it.
im not saying they are bad, i just prefer a little more hand holding when it comes to plot dynamics that require that level of attention investment, especially when the rest of it has been easier to decipher :D

Honestly, I thought that was a terrible episode. I struggled to remain engaged. It feels like they took a whole episode just to reveal the notebook...

I highly recommend listening to the official podcast after watching each episode. It's done by Ben Stiller and Adam Scott and features a lot of the cast and crew.

It was a long episode for what we got story wise. Literally drove to a place, spoke to a guy, confronted her aunt and found the notepad.

Ep 8 wasn't bad, but yes, it didn't need as much padding as we got. It could easily have been interweaved into the main storyline.

However, it does give a lot of meaning as to where Lumon came from and how far its reach stretches, cult like status.

Check the video I linked above, I missed quite a bit. It discusses just the episode, no spoilers etc

The episode before was the best of the entire series.
i think that episode revealed more that any other episode in the series. it was a important one.

also as we been talking about with either the idea of severance being mind mapping or a health related thing in latest ep the ventilator seemed a key point again.
