shadow and bone fantasy series [Netflix]

Finished s2 last night, took everything from the first that was good and expanded on it, hopefully it gets a s3.

I'm guessing Alina used merzgot(SP?) to bring him back? If she did I wonder what the cost will be in s3.

Correct Some of cost has already been seen in the end scene with her using a shadow cut, rather than a sun cut, against the Fjerdan assassin

Missus and I must be the only ones that don't like it lol.
Couldn't get into it, just didn't grab us.

I did watch it all, but I was a bit "meh" about it. The problem for me was that it was just too predictable. I did get all the way to the end of season 2 though, which can't be a bad thing.

I watched a fair few episodes and thought it was well-done, better than the awful WOT show by far, but in the end it's YA, and not for me. But that's not a failing of the show.

Just found this earlier in the week after aimlessly scrolling for something to watch. Surprisingly enjoyable and am now 5 episodes in. After seeing how the wheel of time series strayed so far from the source material I am quite curious to know if this one has too.

The first season is fairly faithful. There are changes, but aside from the introduction of The Crows, nothing drastic.

Season 2 is a different story. The first four episodes of Season 2 cover the second book reasonably well. A lot of content is left out and a few details are changed. But the broad plot points are there. The second half of Season 2 diverges from the books quite drastically. The last two episodes completely change the ending, though that is necessary if they are looking at doing further seasons.

Overall, it's one of the better fantasy adaptations. Fans of the books seem generally positive (so a very different reaction than the WoT and Witcher fanbases )

At least it didn't end on a cliffhanger :(

Well Season 1 was very good, Season 2 became more of a teen Drama and took a long time to get going. When it did get going, it ramped up and that was it, the end.
I think ended it where it did was a good idea :(

This is why you never start a NF series until they complete it properly. I haven't given these ******** any money for years mind you.

They're basically offering a kick-starter, early access, pre-order model now. You might get what you paid for, you might not, in fact probably not.

After this I'm going to take a break.
Only show I've really raged against being cancelled.

Better to just wait for a show to finish or be cancelled.

Been a Netflix fan for a long time.

I'll be back. But will be taking a break. Time to look at an apple TV trial I think

Used to be good, absolute trash now, an ever increasing price for an ever decreasing service.
