Just don't run it in DX11 mode - was like 18% GPU bound and dropped to 30s in that town section :p

Why is that? I can only run dx11 mode on 1080ti as still running Win7

In DX11 my 1080Ti was being heavily bottlenecked by the CPU/API in this game. Here's a shot early in game with DX11:

Overall CPU usage is much higher in DX12 and I would be curious if any more modern CPUs could run it a lot better in DX11 than my aging chip. :)

Win 7 I don't think supports DX12.

You are correct it doesnt.
I meant why does dx11 mode cause the 18% gpu bottleneck and dx12 99% / CPU usage much higher in dx12

I get 20% gpu bound with a 1080 Ti. CPU is a [email protected]

Edit - Guess dx12 can just utilise a lot more of the available CPU. Probably time for me to upgrade to Win10.
Dx12 is available to Win7, but only WoW has been ported apparently

I loved this game and then got to a part where I jumped to a wall above some water in a cave and then had to work my way along the ledge to the right side and try to jump across - I just cannot do it
I spent at least 10 hours trying to do it , and then gave up and uninstalled it - I was Gutted as I was really enjoying it
I haven’t picked the game up since

Variation in windows 10 builds, some if most are not up to date or on the latest build. Scoreboard not indicative. Not a level playing field.
