Shameful Things You've Done/Said, That You Now Totally Regret

Mine would be posting all those Relationship Threads™ in the past. That was a poor, pathetic and now, really embarassing thing to have done. Never in my life have I shown so little respect and belief in myself or degraded myself in such a public way.

Another thing, in my more angst ridden years, I wore a t-shirt that said "Jesus Can Suck My ****" ... Really inappropriate and direspectful of others views and beliefs.

We all make mistakes, and now I look back and think "My god, I actually did that?".

So, what's yours?

Phil.

Regret nothing, treat it as an experience to learn from. ;)

I'll agree with you on that one sir.

Although looking back on some of the things I've said/done still makes me cringe.

Thinking about it, being really drunk and peeing whilst travelling down the escalator at Waterloo station is my one and only regret. :D

Being dumb enough to actually fall for my first wife without first finding out she was an utter and complete raving lunatic <female dog>!! Sadly, I was so young and clueless that I married her first, THEN got to actually know her and find out that if her hair was on fire, I wouldn't bother to cross the street to pee on it to put the flames out....

 <---- indeed.

I remember coming to my senses in the middle of it all.
I was stood there, my friend had her hand around my throat to sober me up screaming at me, and at that point I realised what was happening and I heard the words fall out of my mouth;

"...and how the hell do you expect to stop me"

I was surrounded by six bouncers.

I put my drink on the table, said goodnight and walked away.
Isn't that known in the trade as "Having a moment of clarity"?

"Who is that goon?"

The worst and most inappropriate thing i have ever said.

The comment was made when looking at a photograph to a girlfriends friend at at the funeral of her father, he had died of cancer and after his chemotherapy had lost his hair making him look like a thug and causing me not to recognise him...:(

Ouch.

In my first year of uni I was a bit half-cut (yup, the whole time!) and looking through my mate's photo album. On one page there was a woman with a very fat, round body and stick-thin legs. "Who's this?" I enquired "She looks like a lollipop."

I think you can all guess who it was.

"It's okay that you're her mum..." (post-coital)

"Can anyone smell bacon..?" (unbeknownst to me, a police car had crashed and caught fire two streets over that morning and I could genuinely smell bacon)

Nailing a vicar's daughter in the church in the back of a Volkswagen is probably the most disrespectful thing I've done that I'll admit to...
